Performances May 14th -May 22nd 2016
These first four photographs are by Shoot That Clown, specialized in circus arts. See more of his great work here.
It was challenging to dress this ensemble of 16 girls to show off all the different personalities and roles they played while still offering a cohesive image of them as a clan. The circus challenge is also to make them look dressed while allowing them maximum movement and minimum tangle with the areal aparatus! This made for lots of hats and accessories.
Jojo’s Hat was streamlined from a handbag that had leather and metal coin shaped pieces on the outside:
The warrior of the wild!
One of the clowns needed a harness invented to support her clumsy erratic lamp. The goofy pants are from a fleece blanket.
